The Ugly One was the first feature film I worked on.  It was shot in Detroit Michigan over the course of a summer.  Buoy 22 Films donated all proceeds to Police and Fire charities. 

THE UGLY ONE is packed with fights, stunts and fire.  Patrick Moug (CHASING SLEEP, SUPER SUCKER) is Eric, the 'Ugly One.' Only Eric knows there is a Warlock amongst them searching for the lost hammer of Thor.   Having been raised as an outcast, Eric chooses to ignore everyone around him, even a new mother whose children are taken by the Warlock (Joey Albright – ESCANABA IN DA MOONLIGHT).  Fr. Mike (Wes Studi – DANCES WITH WOLVES, LAST OF THE MOHICANS) tries to convince Eric to confront the Warlock and save the children and those who see him as 'The Ugly One'.  Yet Eric’s only desire is to win the Steel Gloves, a no rules fighting  tournament which promises the winner a trip away from the madness.  Action satisfaction is guaranteed by Stunt Coordinator Eric Bryson (nominated for the World’s Stunt Award’s Best Fight – SHANGHAI NOON).  THE UGLY ONE is tough, rugged and exciting.
